Over the last few months, Armonica Film took care of several video productions for Accent, an American consortium for Academic Programs Abroad. Accent’s programs allow American students from different colleges and universities to spend some months studying in Europe. They can choose among different places, including both European capitals and smaller cities. Armonica Film crew shot and edited the videos for Accent’s schools in Rome, Madrid, Florence and now Paris.

As always, we filmed students attending classes, as well as walking through the city during different activities organized for them. One of the most exciting experiences was the visit to Musée Marmottan Monet, a museum that features over three-hundred impressionist and post-impressionist works by Claude Monet. It represents the largest Monet collection in the world.

This and other similar activities give American students the chance to actually see in front of their eyes what they studied at school during art and architecture classes. Moreover, some students also do internships while in Europe. This is a unique opportunity to actually learn from the inside how business works in France, while gaining useful experience for their future.

While filming interviews, many students expressed their enthusiasm about the Accent program, underlining how it helped them gain independence and going out of their comfort zone. The preferred option for accommodation is certainly the home staying. Students see that as a fantastic opportunity to learn French and achieve a higher language level, having to talk to native speakers while at home.
